Steph Morin is a Canadian singer-songwriter born in Montreal. His music career started a little more than 15 years ago, in a bar, as he asked a singer if he could play a few songs between two sets. The guy said ok! He was hired right after by the owner and he played there for 6 months in a row. After playing covers in the Quebec area for a couple of years, he decided to hit the road with his own material.
THIS PROJECT IS ALL ABOUT DREAMS, LOOKING FORWARD, HOPE, PATHS WHERE EVERYONE HAS WALKED AT LEAST ONCE IN THEIR LIFE AND CAN RECOGNIZE THEMSELVES IN.
Steph is a huge fan of Bruce Springsteen & Bon Jovi, he likes to hang out at least once a year in New Jersey where he met Alex Lorenzo (Hakuzu), a local musician he met in a music store in Asbury Park in the summer of 2015. Alex asked him to play one of his songs and said ”Man, you have to write more songs and release something… you sound great!”. He got back to his hotel room and wrote ‘Last Train’, which became his first radio single as well as the foundation of his new project.
Since then, his material has been well received by medias all across Canada & the United States. In 2018, Quebec voted for him so he made it to the top 10 in an opening act contest for Bon Jovi. He played in Quebec, Ontario, small venues in the United States, appeared in several radio shows, and he came back home in 2019 for two nights at Le Ministère in Montreal.
In January 2020, he releases ‘Live in Montreal’, a live mini-album, to thank his fans for their support since the beginning of his project.
This is just the beginning of his journey. Steph and his team are currently working on a second album. Get ready, you are about to hear his name more than once…
